Portmeirion artist Anwyl Cooper-Willis was inspired by a seventeenth century Christmas carol to create the Holly and Ivy collection. Each piece of high quality earthenware is hand-painted with detailed images of both plants showing clusters of bright berries set against rich green foliage. Bring a dash of holiday cheer to your table with these matching salt and pepper shakers. Short and rather pear-shaped their gently sloping walls make for easy grasping while the nicely-sized pouring holes are large enough to prevent clogging but not so big as to spill salt all over the plate. Each shaker is white with red and green holly and ivy decorations.

Portmeirion's Holly and Ivy pattern was designed by second-generation Portmeirion designer Anwyl Cooper-Willis in 1996 as a contemporary arrangement of antique illustrations with a flowing script of a lyric from the 17th Century English carol it's named after. The design and script are hand-painted on high-quality earthenware and the shakers are safe in the freezer microwave and dishwasher--making preparation serving and clean-up a breeze.
